This Sunday, July 12 will welcome the Quaker State 400 hosted at the Kentucky Speedway for another action-packed chapter in the NASCAR Cup series. Kevin Harvick has just secured a victory in the Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400, edging out Denny Hamlin, and confirming VegasOdds’ prediction that Harvick would clinch a back-to-back career win in this event after winning it before in 2019.
While Denny Hamlin seemed to have the upper hand again, Harvick drove at his best to edge out the perennial favorite. In fact, Harvick has dislodged Hamlin from the odds tables for the upcoming Quaker State 400, too. Buckle up, because it’s going to be a very contested race, and the likely winners aren’t even the suggested favorites.

Take a Look at Kyle Busch for a Moment
Kyle Busch (+650) may not have been making too much of a showing recently, but he has nevertheless done well in Kentucky. His last four starts are against him though, finishing sixth, and then 38th and fifth, and then again 32nd. Busch seems to be alternating decent performance with a complete lack of will to perform.
Of course, it’s easy for us to judge from afar, but inconsistency has been a part of Busch’s driving recently, and we must note as much. However, he also has great performance at the Quaker State 400. Both Kyle and his brother Kurt, battled in a fiery action in the last year’s event, with Kurt finally outpacing his sibling.

Now, Busch might need to focus on Hamlin and Harvick who will no doubt try to lay a claim on the race. However, here’s the thing. Busch has always finished Top 10 at the Kentucky Speedway. He only missed the mark back in 2016 when he was edged out to 12th place.
Past Kentucky Quaker State Winners
The Busch brothers definitely have a strong presence in the race, both in the overall standing, but also securing two of the last five races.
Kurt Busch also performs well at the track. He has similarly clocked only Top 10 finishes, and even though the odds list him at far-fetched (+2500), the Busch brothers are both native to the Kentucky Speedway.
